A 4-year-old boy is brought for assessment of a rash on his face and arms for 4 days. The lesions began as small blisters around the nose and mouth and then appeared on the forearms after scratching. He has no fever and is otherwise well. Examination shows multiple superficial vesicles and erosions with honey-coloured crusts around the nares and perioral region, and a few similar lesions on the forearms, without mucosal involvement or abscess. What is the most appropriate management?
